THE HOT STUFF
- Mr. Kennedy vs Matt Hardy. This was a excellent match that showcased why Mr. Kennedy and Matt Hardy are the future of the WWE. Both of these Superstars will be in the Money in the Bank Match at Wrestlemania and this match just built some more heat between these two. Hardy picked up the win with the twist of fate.
-- Ashley, London and Kendrick vs MNM. This 6 man mixed tag team match was pretty good. Anything with London and Kendrick is a pretty good match. I wish these two had something going on at Wrestlemania but the tag team division seems pretty lackluster these days. This match was really to build some heat between Melina and Ashely for their match at Wrestlemania. MNM got the 1-2-3 with a Snapshot after a low blow on London.
--- King Booker vs Undertaker. Another great match from the Undertaker! Following his outstanding match with Finlay last week The Undertaker takes it to King Booker. This match really showed the fire of King Booker and Undertaker. After watching these two go at it I feel that Booker has a good chance to get back into the World Heavyweight Title hunt in 2007. Things were going great until Finlay interfered and smashed The Undertaker, causing Undertaker to get the DQ win. After the interferance The Undertaker throws Finlay into Batista who was at ringside. This was classic Undertaker and made the interference worth it!!
THE NOT SO HOT STUFF
- Smackdown started up with Miz TV ... Again another perfect JBL quote "I don't even know why Miz is still Alive!" Awesome! Unfortunately Batista was the guess on Miz TV. I CAN'T STAND THIS WORTHLESS PIECE OF CRAP! Batista has NO EMOTION! NONE! And of course he did not wrestle this week SURPRISE! Unlike John Cena who wrestles every Monday Night, Batista wrestles maybe once a month on Smackdown and once every other month on PPV. What is the WWE hiding? ... that Batista can't wrestle?! that he does not have any mic skills?! GUESS WHAT WWE ... We know your dirty little secret! You can't hide this man's weakness - week in and week out.
-- MVP squashed some masked Jobber ... The Jobber was the "Honduras" World Champion ... YEAH Right! MVP won with a new move, the PlayMaker, and the move looked pretty good. The good part of this match was after the quick match Teddy Long comes out and tells MVP he is on with Chris Benoit for the US Title at Wrestlemania.
--- Daivari vs Kane. Kane basicly beat the hell out of Daivari as an example to the Great Khali getting ready for their Wrestlemania Match. What makes this match suck is that Kane dragged Daivari to the back with a chain to punish him but we never see what happens .... Bad Editing Smackdown!
SUPERSTAR OF THE NIGHT: THE UNDERTAKERThe Undertaker has been wrestling great matches these past few weeks. He is showing why he is headlining Wrestlemania 23 and why his streak will continue and he will become the next World Heavyweight Champion!
I have not seen The Undertaker this motivated in a long time and it is great to witness!
Overall this was a good episode of Smackdown. Now if we can get the Title Belt off of Batista and not see him for awhile Smackdown will be Awesome! I would like to see more Tag Team action on Smackdown, but I am happy that we have not seen Deuce and Domino for awhile - maybe they went back to the 50's.
