THE HOT STUFF:
- King Booker and Matt Hardy's match was great. These two know how to tell a story in the ring and with the help of Queen Sharmell King Booker picked up the win. This is what Smackdown is doing right -- they are putting the Money in the Bank contenders in one on one matches ... what a great way to build the hype for Wrestlemania!
-- WWE Superstars of the future!! Mr. Kennedy and CM Punk. One Hell of a Match, another Money in the Bank face off, these two put on a match that everyone should be talking about. It told a story, had good wrestling, and had some awesome near falls! Mr Kennedy picks up the win.
--- The best match of the night was the Undertaker vs Finlay ... Man does Finlay like to fight or what! Before the match Finlay said he was not scared by the Undertaker. It was a great Promo. Batista needs to watch Finlay and learn how to talk on the microphone!! Taker and Finlay really went at each other ... it's the kind of passion I hope to see at Wrestlemania 23. Taker covers Finlay for the win after a Tombstone Piledriver.
THE NOT SO HOT STUFF:
- Miz TV. I think JBL said it quite well, "I'm in Hell". I don't want to see the Miz wrestle, let alone watch him talk about anything. The only thing that came from this is a Wrestlemania match between Melina and Ashley for the Women's belt. I don't think it will be good but you never know.
-- Khali attacking Kane in the back ... WHAT the hell did Khali say?? I guess the real question is WHO CARES what Khali said!!
--- The worst match of the night, and week, was Batista vs Kane. This is not Kane's fault; he worked and wrestled more in this match then I have seen him in awhile. This is all Batista's fault. Batista looked weak and shitty in the ring! My 80 year old grandmother can give better looking clotheslines; I mean come on!! Batista won even though he should have lost! Kane had him dead to rights after the chokeslam and the flying clothesline .... Shame!
Batista better get his shit together before Wrestlemania. Batista should review the Undertaker and Finlay's match over and over and see how it is done right. If Batista keeps this up I have no doubt that he will lose at Wrestlemania. The only thing worse than his ring skills are his mic skills ... Show some passion for God's sake! I fart with more passion then this man does talking about Wrestlemania ....
SUPERSTAR OF THE NIGHT: FINLAYThis is how you put on promos and matches with the Undertaker. Finlay really took it to him and he brought out the best in the Undertaker. It is past due for Finlay and a title run! (picture courtesy of: Wikipedia)
Overall, Smackdown did a good job towards building to Wrestlemania. I am lovin' the Money in the Bank one on one matches. I think it is a good idea for a US title belt match at Wrestlemania ... anything with Benoit in it will be great! Batista brought the whole show down for me ... his promos and in-ring skills just SUCK! Get the belt off him and let someone like Hardy, Finlay or Mr Kennedy run with it for awhile!
