Bone Chillin’ Raw Review for 3-05-07

Welcome to the Bone Chillin’ Raw Review .... The Road to Wrestlemaina took a little bit of a swerve on this episode of Raw ... we had some things that were off the charts and some stuff I wish we could give back ... so lets go:

THE HOT STUFF:

- The opening of the show man the crowd was hot for HBK and Cena ... great pops for both of these superstars

-- Raw started with a one on one match between HBK and Randy Orton (Edge on the outside) ... good solid match ... Randy had some good moves the DDT off the second rope ... man it look like HBK could have broke his neck on that one. HBK got the win when Orton was distracted trying to cheat but after the match Orton and Edge beat on HBK a little until Cena came in for the save ... to HBK dislike. I like how they are building this feud to Wrestlemania ... It is going to be a good match!!

--- The main event was ok with some weird angle with Edge not being able to wrestle because Arizona was the last state to have Martin Luther King birthday as a holiday was not cool but the quick match between Cena and Nitro was good ...Nitro is growing on me more and more ... After the match Mecury, Nitro and Edge started the beat down on Cena -- after a few minutes HBK came out for the save then he changed his mind and started to walk away (Classic) then he changed his mind again and ran into the ring and saved Cena from the complete beat down ... Again another great way to build this feud between HBK and Cena for Wrestlemania!!

---- The Man in Middle of the Billionaire Hair Match at Wrestlemania was announced and the build up was pretty good ... Vince and Co. gave us a few false starts. First Eric Bischoff came out to a pretty good pop but he was not the REF -- Next Mick Foley Came out to a bigger pop, Mick got his job back and some book plugging time on Raw but he was not the REF -- Shane McMahon came out and had to tell his dad that STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN would be the man in the middle ... Vince was not happy -- Austin comes out does not say a word and has a little beer bash. Finally a damn good reason to enjoy this Billionaire Hair Match --- STONE COLD STONE COLD STONE COLD STONE COLD STONE COLD !!!!

THE NOT SO HOT:

- Jeff Hardy losing to Umaga again for the IC belt ... come on this was a horrible match Jeff did all the right stuff... I am just sick of seeing Umaga do the same damn match over and over again ... Jeff should never have lost the belt to begin with

-- Masterlock Challenge -- enough said!

--- The falls count anywhere womens match ... WTF, come on it was the same ending from their match 2 weeks ago ... if this was a falls count anywhere match why the hell did the pin happen in the ring????? Can the bookers and the writers not come up with anything original for the woman's division .... shame on you WWE

---- The Money in the Bank match between Carlito and Flair WHY did the Great Kali interupt this good match it made no sense ... Kali wants Kane ... ok why interupt this match -- awful and a shame because this match had a story and a purpose

SUPERSTAR OF THE NIGHT: HBK

I am lovin the Build to Wrestlemania between him and Cena. The heelish Shawn is wonderful -- you never know if he is going to turn on Cena and the drama between these two is really the reason I am going to be watching Wrestlemania 23! (picture courtesy of: Wikipedia)

This Raw was a little bumpy going into Wrestlemania 23 but they have time to correct some of the problems and the crap they presented to us on Monday ... The good was outstanding but the bad brought it down in overall quailty ...

MY RATING: 4
