Bone Chillin’ Raw Review for 3-26-07

The last Monday Night Raw before Wrestlemania 23 and it was amazing! Vince and Co. put on one Hell of a TV program. Even the hair match advancements did not get on my nerves as much as they have been in the past couple of weeks. I contribute this mostly of the involvement of Stone Cold Steve Austin. And Good Ole JR was announced for the Hall of Fame what a touching moment of Sports Entertainment. So lets get right into it:

THE HOT STUFF:

- Stone Cold, Stone Cold, Stone Cold. He really pushed the hair match at Wrestlemania and I loved his interaction with the Coach. And finally the return of the Stone Cold Stunner and I could not think of anyone better than the Coach to be stunned.

-- CM Punk vs Kenny. Man both of these Superstars looked great and had a good night in the ring. Punk could be a main event star soon if he does not waste away in ECW! Kenny for as young and new to WWE as he is, his talent and ring work and excellent and only going to improve over time. Punk finished the match with a killer Fireman Carry into a knee in the face for the 1-2-3 victory over Kenny.

--- The eight man edition of the Cutting Edge for the Money in the Bank match at Wrestlemania. Man it was so cool to see all the Money in the Bank Superstars in the ring together, this match is going to be out of this world. Check out our article "Wrestlemania: Mr. Money in the Bank" to see our predictions on who will be MR MONEY IN THE BANK! Basicly Edge talked trash to everyone to build heat for this match. Punk, Jeff and Matt Hardy, and Finlay came off the strongest of the eight. This was a great way to build towards Wrestlemania.

---- Cena and HBK both did interviews before their match with Batista and Undertaker and they were OFF THE HOOK. The intensity of both of these Superstars really sold their match at Wrestlemania. I think this will be the show stealer of Wrestlemania and I am hoping HBK the Show Stopper becomes the next WWE Champion!!

----- Vince Guaran-damn-teeya that he would be pin Bobby Lashley in the ring 1-2-3. Well with the help of Cade and Murdock, The Masterpiece, Johnny Nitro, Umaga and a low blow from Vince he got his pin in the middle of the ring. I liked this segment because Lashley got knocked around a little by Umaga giving their match at Wrestlemania a needed boosted to help sell this Billionaire Hair Match. I am betting Vince will lose but it would be great to see a bald Donald Trump.

------ Jim Ross was announced for the Hall of Fame 2007 Class and his emotion really showed through when they announced him. JR is the heart and soul of Monday Night Raw and it is nice to see him recognized for all of his hard work and determination to make Raw the number one Sports Entertainment program on the air today.

------- Mr Kennedy and Randy Orton vs Matt and Jeff Hardy. Another Money in the Bank Superstar contest to build some heat for Wrestlemania. I love Mr. Kennedy on Monday Night Raw and I think he would do really well there in feuds against Carlito, Johnny Nitro, Jeff Hardy, Ric Flair just to name a few. Orton picked up the victory for his team with a out of now where RKO on Jeff Hardy. This was a good fast match that showcased everyones talent.

-------- Cena and HBK vs Batista and the Undertaker. Both of these teams are going head to head at Wrestlemania and Batista and Undertaker showed the most cracks and started to feud with each other a little. But the big surprise was that Cena and HBK were working great together until HBK throws a surpise Superkick into Cena towards the end of the match. Man their match is going to be wonderful. Batista picked up the win with a lazy one arm pin on Cena after the HBK Superkick.

THE NOT SO HOT STUFF:

-The Playboy Cover Girls vs Melina, Victoria and Jillian Hall from Smackdown. This match was just to setup a LumberJill Match for the Women's Title at Wrestlemania. The match as ok but compared to all the other matches the card it was poor in comparison. The Playboy Cover girls (Torrie, Candice and Ashley) won with Ashley getting a clean pin on Jillian Hall.

-- Khali vs Ric Flair. Why, Why, Why. Ric should be in a better position then starting a feud with a no talent hack. The only good thing was that Carlito came to Ric's aid and got the double handed chokeslam instead of Flair.

SUPERSTAR OF THE NIGHT: STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN

The Stone Cold Stunner made it's return on Raw and I have missed it and it's devastating results for years and I am glad to see it back. I know that Steve won't be around much after Wrestlemania so it is nice to see him ... Drink beer, Raise Hell and then Leave! WWE previewed his new movie the Condemned and it looks pretty damn good, I can't wait to see it ;-) Also, Steve will be inducting his good friend JR into the Hall of Fame.

What an amazing Raw! Everything seems to be firing on all cylinders and really built up Wrestlemania as the must see Pay Per View of the year! I can't wait for Sunday April 1 because that is when my boy HBK will become the next WWE Champion and Batista will finally lose to someone who can wrestle and make Smackdown a better show!

MY RATING: 9
